Blade's Page

These pictures are of our black Labrador Retriever, Blade (Shamrock Acres' Switch Blade Von Ockomon -- I swear I did not name this dog).  He is almost three years old, but he is still the biggest 90-pound baby there is.  Even though he's never been allowed on the furniture in our house, he still thinks he's a lap dog.

This is Blade at Lake Lanier in his Pooch Preserver. He loves that thing! He gets so excited when he sees one of us pick it up. He's actually an excellent swimmer (he IS a Lab, right?), but if we're out in deeper water on floats he can't stand not to be out there with us the whole time and the preserver keeps him from wearing himself and us and our floats out.

This is Blade taking a break from fetch in the front yard.  In this picture he has just noticed our neighbor, Dana, bringing out their beagle, Boomer, for his walk.  Blade adores and worships all of the dogs in our cul-de-sac, but the feeling is never mutual.
